The recent protests in Korea against the Park administration have stunned the world and brought new attention to Korea’s position as a vibrant democracy. Notable is the number of young people involved in those protests, including middle school and high school students, who have poured into the streets demanding change. But what sort of change, exactly, do they want? In this seminar we explored the background of these protests and consider their implications for Korea’s future domestic and international policies.
